Guillotine Reaper

So, been a while since Ive submitted something...again.

But I have a fair excuse this time, getting let go twice in the same month kinda has me in a difficult situation, what with slowly chipping away my savings from rent and food and what not. But I'm still trying, and here is the fruit of my labor.

I have a few more coming after this one as well.

So this guy, I was meaning to save for last in the pantheon of the Reaper Zodiac. But I started to realize that my previous submissions of the pantheon have been looking more and more friendly. So I decided it was time to show a reaper that had some...shock value. In all seriousness though, I couldn't resist designing and coloring this guy, it was difficult, and proved very challenging to figure the rust and gore textures, but, I feel like as for now, it will suffice. 

So I feel accomplished thus far.

Anyways-SYNOPSIS!

"Lay your head down."

"Your pleads have no voice."

"Lay your head down."

"Your soul has been weighed"

"My only mercy is a final breath."

"Judgment is made."

"Lay your head down, and let it fall from your shoulders."

The Guillotine-

All Reapers, when they collect the souls of the dead, each one takes them to their respected places of judgment where they can be appropriately evaluated before their final fate.

But the Guillotine, it does not collect, it does not guide, it does not judge. It only destroys.

This Reaper is the most brutal and merciless of the pantheon. So much so that it requires another Reaper just to supervise it. But this kind of nature is a necessary quality in the Zodiac of Thanatos. The Guillotine has a very specific group of souls. Only the most rotten, the most vile, the most corrupted of souls meet their fate at the Guillotine. For most of the other Reapers, the souls they pursue can either fall under positive or negative circumstances, but for the Guillotine-there is no alternative. Like throwing garbage into a pit, the darkest souls are thrown to the Guillotine where they are met with an end as terrible as them.

It is the Eater of Sin

The Guillotine is a manifestation of the worst outcomes. It is a reflection of man's deepest and darkest malevolence, this does not imply that the Guillotine is an evil entity, rather, it merely is the bane of malicious intent. With one exception aside, It only acknowledges evil, thus it will only react to evil.

Those under the mark of the Guillotine are not marked for certain doom and neither are they destined to become darkened souls. It is that they have a higher probability of falling from good graces. They could suffer from distinctive tendencies that could potentially fester and worsen if corrupting influence is ever allowed. Signs of this can be broad and simple at first, it could be a crude temper, an abusive indulgence, whether it be self inflicting or otherwise, what ever it may be, it will start out small, almost unnoticeable. So those that practice self-awareness of their actions, practice their morals and ethics, then they can expect an afterlife where no Guillotine will wait for them.
