Description

Thol, The Steadfast Champion.

Thol is an enigma that echos in the legends of the dark war. He was discovered deep in the caverns of of the northern mountains, just below the base of the "Dawn's Climb." When he emerged, he had little to no memory before he was put to sleep. Only images, shapes, and sounds. When he found himself in a town, in the heart of a valley known only as Kalm, his 24 foot tall form no doubt shook the nerves of the locals. However, in time, he earned the people's trust and became their champion and guardian after fending off an entire pack of Crushjaw Barracks. He showed a genuine valor and earnest resolve that made him deserving of the title; Warrior, not Beast.

The gaping holes in his memory haunt him, a taunting mystery that lingers just outside of his grasp. But despite the irksome echoes that rattle in his brain, his stoic demeanor masks the signs well. What helps distracts him from the ghosts of forgotten past is the current company he keeps. His human companion and the party of Tirbrins that accompany him serve as both his moral anchor and his tether on reality. When in battle, he fights with the strength and mentality of an alpha bull, the first to charge into the thick of a fight and defend or assist his comrades. Though his tendencies to leap into the fray may seem brash, his tactics in close quarters are unquestionably sound. His arsenal of abilities grant him the fighting power of a small squadron and his his unflinching resolution against overwhelming odds inspire courage for his companions and induce fear into his enemies. Hence the title "the Steadfast Champion." His abilities are rare among the ranks of the Tirbrin guardians, capable of generating his own aura as a repulse shield from the organs pulsating in his pectorals, but it can do more than that. Instead of bouncing energy based projectiles, the aura can absorb it and it to his own, increasing Thol's inner power until it reaches the "burst limit." Thol's main power acts like a large cup that can be filled to the very brim. Once it overflows, instead of spilling, it disperses. His body can also serve as a catalyst to channel his gathered aura into other Tirbrins or to strengthen his other abilities such as his "Pulse lob" and his "Red Spade."

Though in most conflicts he is firm and steady, there has been moments where his mind will throb and disorient his concentration, often even resulting in violent fits of beserking rage. But when in a calmer state, he takes great comfort in the small things, cooling under the shade of trees, feasting on delectable fruits, and listening to the stories of others. He does not care how seemingly insignificant they are, as long as they distract him from the troubles that coil with in his skull, he is at peace.

or so he thinks.

The echoes will only silence once they are answered. How he'll discover them may lead to the return of the first Void Spawns, The Pit Dwellers, The Abysmal horde.
